Collaborative Process Act Passes

May 26, 2017 – Today, history was made as the House of the Illinois General Assembly, in a 113-0-0 vote, passed the Uniform Collaborative Process Act. The Illinois legislature, in passing this law, recognizes the immense value this Process offers to families who seek a less destructive way to divorce and a way to end their marriage with less acrimony and more respect. If signed into law, the effective date will be January 1, 2018. More details coming soon.


15th Year Celebration: Dinner/Golf – June 2

Deerfield Golf Club (Riverwoods) – Catch up with Fellows you know, meet those newer to the organization, and have some fun!

The celebration includes dinner, dancing, open bar, and a program to recognize the organization’s accomplishments over the past 15 years, our members, and leadership (5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.).

Interested in golf and want to start celebrating earlier? Sign up for the golf scramble! Enjoy lunch, 18 holes of golf, contests, and a raffle. Check in and lunch at 11:30 a.m.; golf starts at 1:00 p.m. Not an experienced golfer? No problem – the scramble is for players at all skill levels! To register additional players, select ‘guest’ when you register to sign up the others in your foursome.

When you register for golf, the price includes golf and the celebration dinner that follows. Or, register for ‘dinner only’. Both are open to non-members, so feel free to register a colleague, friend or spouse too.

Financial-Focused FCST – June 23

1:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. (161 N. Clark, Chicago). This program will explain and demonstrate the importance of the financial neutral’s role in the Collaborative divorce process. Professionals will learn the importance of financial reports, how the other team members can assist in helping the client understand and utilize the reports, the best time to present financial information to clients, and strategies for dealing with issues that may arise when discussing money and finances with the client. Even if you’re not a financial professional, you’ll still benefit from participating as the program also covers team work and how all the professions help and support one another. Register now!
