Collaborative Divorce in Illinois

Collaborative Practice a different way to divorce

If you are here it is likely that you and someone you cared deeply for are looking at ending your relationship. Or perhaps you’re here because you’re concerned about someone else who is facing that situation. We understand that going through a divorce is difficult. The process can be a challenging one. We’re here to help.

A lot of well-intentioned friends will try and offer advice, but the fact is, every divorce is different. We can assist you in making the best choices for everyone involved – yourself, your spouse/partner, and any children in your lives as well.

The Collaborative Process is unlike a traditional approach in that we focus on helping you and your spouse/partner make mutual decisions, versus ‘taking sides’. Your team of skilled Illinois professionals works together to support you in the emotional, financial and legal aspects of this fundamental change. Our primary concern is with what will work best for both of you in order to begin your separate futures. It is our intent to offer you a process that is Supportive, Considerate, Sensible, Constructive and Mutual.

We at the CLII encourage you to consider the benefits of Collaborative Divorce and of using a team of our trained professionals. Whatever your choice however, our sincere hope is that you each find what you need during this challenging transition.
